A’shanti F. Gholar - Founder

After 15 years in professional politics, and 10 years of living in DC, it dawned on me that there was no place for women of color that were interested in politics to go to get advice on how to get involved in politics, receive news about how politics impacts women of color or find out about amazing women of color running for elected office. This blog was created to help fill this void. I have come together with other phenomenal women of color in politics from across the country to share advice, tools, and resources that have helped us along the way.

SPEAK is proud to be a part of the National Coalition of South Asian Organizations, a network of community-based organizations that believe in common principles related to social change, and that provides services to, work with, convene, organize and advocate for South Asians in the United States.
