SPEAK Mentorship. Mentorship is in our name because we truly believe in the power of mentorship to help another person grow and develop into a more self-aware, confident, and informed individual. When you mentor another person, you not only help them learn about themselves through your experiences, but you also reflect and understand yourself and how certain experiences have shaped the individual you are today.
We pair girls in high school with three different mentors from careers of interest. Mentors educate the girls on pursuing careers, daily routines, understanding of work-life balance. In addition, we pair mentors and mentees based on cultural similarities to fulfill our mission of providing the safe space for girls to better understand their multicultural backgrounds.
We constantly seek strong women mentors who can guide these girls, help them grow into confident and capable young women, as they embark on the journey from high school to career. Become a mentor today!

During high school, girls of immigrant and first-generation backgrounds will be matched with three career professionals who will serve as their mentors for the year. Mentors and mentees will meet to discuss goals and hurdles of different types, even those pertaining to culture, when pursuing a certain type of career. Discussions will incorporate necessary soft and hard skills that girls should master in order to become successful in certain positions, as well as learn about what a day in the life of that professional is like with experiential learning. Mentors will help girls understand which majors and colleges best help them achieve success towards pursuing their careers. We hope with these interactions with mentors, girls will make educated and informed decisions about their futures and how they will be achieve their long term professional goals.
